The first teaser trailer for IT Chapter 2 just came out and we can finally take a look at the new set of actors. James McAvoy, Jessica Chastain and Bill Hader are the most well known newcomers.
As a fan of the book, I actually really liked the old TV miniseries, despite its obvious flaws. One thing most people agree on is that the part with the adults was never as interesting as the first half, so I'm really curious if the new IT movie can improve on that.
After seeing the first teaser trailer, it definitely looks like it will be just as thrilling as Chapter 1. The teaser starts by showing us a 2 minute preview of one of my favorite scenes from the old miniseries.
Beverly is taking a look at her old home, where she meets a nice old lady, who invites her in and offers her some cookies and tea. Everything seems to be normal at first, but the old lady slowly seems to act weird and Beverly realizes that something is very wrong with this place...
I always thought that was such a creepy scene and for now it seems like they successfully recreated the eerie atmosphere of the original.

Synopsis
27 years have passed since the Loser' Club defeated pennywise and now almost all of the members have moved away from Derry, only Mike has stayed to make sure that the evil clown doesn't show up again.
But when people go missing again, Mike suspects that Derry's dark history is repeating itself and quickly tries to reach out to his friends.
Will they be able to stop the monster again?
The new cast
The grown up members of the Loser' Club will be played by James McAvoy as Bill, Jessica Chastain as Beverly and Bill Hader as Richie among others.
I think we might also be able to see a bit of the original cast during flash backs, even though I'm not sure how much screen time they will have this time.
Of course Bill Skarsgard will be back in the role of Pennywise and probably cause a new generation of kids to be scared of clowns. If they keep that tradition going, we might have to add clowns to the list of endangered species.
Release date
It Chapter 2 is scheduled to be released on September 6, 2019.
