-Spoiler Warning-
Even more shocking, though, was a tragic accident involving captain spirit and a police car, in one of the three possible endings.
Luckily it doesn't have to end this way and there are two scenarios in which Chris is fine.
What is unique about Life is Strange 2 is that you can't simply choose what to do at the end, but you can rather indirectly influence the outcome through your relationship with Daniel.
As his big brother, Sean has to teach the right things to Daniel, so that he can make the right decisions himself during their journey.
Here is what you need to do to get any of the following endings:
Chris helps Sean and Daniel to escape
This is arguably the best ending and the only way for the wolf brothers to properly say good bye to Chris. In order to see this ending, you have to tell Daniel at the Christmas market, to stop lying to Chris. Only if Chris understands that he doesn't really have super powers, he won't run in front of the police car to stop it.
But there is one little problem, if you have shown Daniel that it is ok to steal since the first episode, he won't be honest to you either and refuse to tell Chris the truth. So if Daniel already stole from Brody in episode one, you might not be able to see this ending.
Chris gets hit by the police car
If Daniel keeps the secret and doesn't tell Chris the truth, Chris will try to help the brothers by running in front of the police car.Daniel won't use his powers to save Chris if you told him several times that he is absolutely not allowed to use them, even in emergency cases.
This is a really horrible ending and I don't think anyone would intentionally want this to happen, so you might be better off by checking it out on YouTube or somewhere.
Daniel saves Chris
If you already stole the tent and other stuff in episode one and Daniel won't listen to you, you can still aim for this ending, which is actually pretty spectacular. It's a really impressive scene when Daniel throws the police car off the road and I can understand if someone actually prefers this ending.
In order to make Daniel save Chris, you have to encourage him to use his powers in an emergency. You don't need to let him go crazy all the time, but there are two very important moments.
After he saves Chris from falling off his tree house, you have to tell him that he did the right thing. And almost at the end of the episode when the grandfather gets trapped under the heavy shelve, you have to ask Daniel for help and let him use his powers.
This should convince him enough to save Chris as well, but of course you can allow him a bit more freedom with his powers, if you want to be really sure.
